What is Science?
The word “science” probably brings to mind many different pictures: a fat textbook, white lab coats and microscopes, an astronomer peering through a telescope, a naturalist in the rainforest, Einstein’s equations scribbled on a chalkboard, the launch of the space shuttle, bubbling beakers…. All of those images reflect some aspect of science. But none of them provides a full picture because science has so many facets:

- Science is both a body of knowledge and a process. In school, science may sometimes seem like a collection of isolated and static facts listed in a textbook, but that’s only a small part of the story. Just as importantly, science is also a process of discovery that allows us to link isolated facts into coherent and comprehensive understandings of the natural world.
- Science is exciting. Science is a way of discovering what’s in the universe and how those things work today, how they worked in the past, and how they are likely to work in the future. Scientists are motivated by the thrill of seeing or figuring out something that no one has before.
- Science is useful. The knowledge generated by science is powerful and reliable. It can be used to develop new technologies treat diseases, and deal with many other sorts of problems.
- Science is ongoing. Science is continually refining and expanding our knowledge of the universe, and as it does, it leads to new questions for future investigation. Science will never be “finished”.
- Science is a global human endeavor. People all over the world participate in the process of science.
How Science Help Our Life?
It contributes to ensuring a longer and healthier life, monitors our health, provides medicine to cure our diseases alleviates aches and pains , help up to provide water for our basic needs - including our food, provides energy and make life more fun, including sport, music entertainment and the communication technology.
5 Types Of Sciences
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
- Chemical Science
- Computer and Information Sciences
- Earth and related Environmental Sciences
What is Technology?
Technology is the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims for human life or, as it is sometimes phrased, to the change and manipulation of the human environment. The use of technology is widely prevalent in medicine, science, industry, communication, transportation and daily life. Technologies include physical objects like utensils or machines and intangible tools such as software.
Many Technology advancements have led to societal changes. The earliest known Technology is the stone tool, used in the prehistoric era, followed by fire use, which contributed to the growth of the human brain and the development of the language in the Ice Age. The invention of the wheel in the Bronze Age enabled wide travel and the creation of more complex machines. Recent technological developments, including the printing press, the telephone, and the Internet have lowered communication barriers and ushered in the knowledge economy.
5 common types of technology
- Television (a system for converting visual images ( with sound ) into electrical signals, transmitting them by radio or other means, and displaying them electronically on a screen)
- Internet (The Internet is a
global network of billions of computers and other electronic devices.) - Cell Phones (a phone with access to a cellular radio system so it can be used over a wide area, without a physical connection to a network)
- Computers (an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to instruction given to it in a variable program)
- Software (the programs and other operating information used by a computer)
How Technologies Help Us
- We use technologies to exchange information, to clean our clothes, to prepare our meals and to get from one place to another. But even everyday items like door locks, floor panels and furniture are technologies that we now take for granted and that seems less impressive to us than self-driving cars or 3D printing.
- Using technology allows you to automate tasks, set up reminders, gather receipts, track investments, compare prices and more. With technology, you won’t have to waste your time doing simple financial tasks.
- Technology affects the way people learn, study, work, communicate, think and reflect. It plays an important role in society today. It has positive and negative effects on the world and it impacts daily live.
- Technology also has reduced the effort and time and increased the efficiency of the production requirements in very field. It has made our lives easy, comfortable, healthy, and enjoyable. It has brought a revolution in transport and communication.
That’s all from us, thank you for reading :)
